World of Hyatt Has a Boutique Hotel in a Very Unlikely Spot Near Disney

by joeheg

When Hyatt brought Mr & Mrs Smith into World of Hyatt, it opened the door to all sorts of hotels that don’t look or feel like traditional Hyatts.

That’s part of what makes the partnership interesting.

It also introduced something Hyatt fans weren’t used to. Unlike Hyatt’s usual award chart, where hotels fall into fixed categories with predictable pricing, Mr & Mrs Smith redemptions use a more dynamic model. Instead of checking a Category 1 through 8 chart, you have to search your exact dates and see what Hyatt wants in points for that stay.

That’s how I ended up finding one of the strangest World of Hyatt properties I’ve come across in Central Florida.

I was updating my post about Hyatt hotels near Disney when I saw one I hadn’t heard of before.

Since we live in Central Florida have have a good idea of the name brand hotels around town, that was surprising enough. What was even more surprising was where it was.

Not on Disney property. Not at Disney Springs. Not in one of the polished tourist zones that scream “upscale resort district.”

Nope.

This one is in Kissimmee. And not just anywhere in Kissimmee, but right off Highway 192.

If you know that road, you already understand why this felt so weird.

Highway 192 is the kind of place where you expect older roadside motels, bargain souvenir shops, chain restaurants, mini golf, and maybe a dinner show or two. It’s not usually where you expect to stumble across a sleek boutique hotel that’s part of the Mr & Mrs Smith collection.

Wait…there?

The hotel is the ette hotel, a luxury boutique property that now participates in World of Hyatt through Mr & Mrs Smith.

And honestly, the location is what makes it such a perfect oddball.

Because some of the nearby properties are Quality Inn, Travelodge, and Ramada, this is about the last place you’d expect to find a boutique hotel offering luxury vibes, wellness touches, and elevated dining.

It feels like someone dropped a stylish independent hotel into a stretch of road better known for budget lodging and tourist overflow.

And yet…there it is.

The strange part is that it’s actually in a great location

As unexpected as the setting feels, the hotel is literally right outside Walt Disney World.

In fact, that’s what makes this even funnier. This isn’t some random Kissimmee outpost that happens to share a ZIP code with Disney. The property is only a few minutes’ drive from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, making it one of those places that sounds wrong on paper but makes a lot more sense once you look at a map.

So yes, it’s off Highway 192.

But it’s also genuinely convenient if you’re visiting Walt Disney World, especially if Animal Kingdom is high on your list.

That contrast is what makes the ette hotel so interesting. On one hand, it’s in a corridor most people associate with older roadside lodging. On the other hand, it’s close enough to Disney that it works as a legitimate base for a park trip.

This might be the weirdest Mr & Mrs Smith location I’ve seen

One of the odd side effects of Hyatt bringing Mr & Mrs Smith into World of Hyatt is that the program now includes hotels in places where you’d never expect to find something that looks this stylish.

Some of the properties are in destinations that practically scream boutique luxury. But others make you do a double take.

The ette hotel in Kissimmee is one of those. Here’s a boutique hotel just off Highway 192, a few minutes from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in an area where the surrounding hotels are far more likely to be competing on low rates than luxury touches.

That contrast is what makes it so fascinating. Finding a Mr & Mrs Smith property near Walt Disney World isn’t strange on its own. Finding one in this exact stretch of Kissimmee absolutely is.

What people are saying

If you want to get a better feel for the property, you can check out the hotel’s official website, the Mr & Mrs Smith listing, or read guest feedback on Tripadvisor.

Final Thought

I’m still not sure what surprised me more: finding a Mr & Mrs Smith property in Kissimmee, or realizing it’s actually in a very practical location for a Disney trip.

Because that’s the twist here. The ette hotel isn’t just a quirky listing hiding in World of Hyatt’s Mr & Mrs Smith collection. It’s a boutique luxury hotel sitting in one of the least boutique-looking corners of the Disney area.

And somehow, that odd contrast is exactly what makes it intriguing.
