JetBlue’s Newly Refreshed Amenity Kits

by SharonKurheg

Every few years, supermarkets, websites and other entities “refresh” their places. Corporate tells them to put these things HERE and those things THERE. And if you’re a frequent visitor to the place, it takes weeks, if not months, to learn where things are, instead of where they used to be.

Other refreshes, on the other hand, are not nearly so traumatic and life-altering ;-). Take amenity kits.

JetBlue started using silicon pouches for their amenity kits in September 2021. Specifically made for use on their transatlantic flights between JFK and London Heathrow, as well as JFK and London Gatwick, the bags provided by FORMIA (who also provides bags for Delta, Emirates, JAL, Qatar Airways, Aero Mexico, and Turkish Airlines, among others), were “developed to provide a modern, fresh take on the amenity kit, with the aim to reduce single-use plastics and encourage continued use post-flight.” They included a moisturizing lotion, lip balm and two-tone athletic socks made from 100% recycled PET fabrics, the latter of which were part of FORMIA’s then-recently launched sustainability initiative.

JetBlue is continuing to use the bags. That’s a definite plus because it doubles as a reusable storage bag that’s durable, easy to clean and dishwasher, microwave, and freezer friendly.

However, the insides of the amenity kit are changing. The new collection introduces a classic blue pouch and presents a hydrating face and body wipe, as well as lotion from Skin Proud. Two-tone athletic socks, still made from 100% recycled PET fabrics, are still also included in the kit.

We are excited to continue our partnership with FORMIA to deliver unique and thoughtful amenity kit offerings for our transatlantic Core customers.”

Sales and Business Development Director of FORMIA Americas, Michele Ragonesi, commented in the release: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with trailblazer JetBlue for their industry-leading, multi-purpose kits and to facilitate their meaningful collaboration with conscious beauty brand, Skin Proud.”
