The changes to the Delta Air Lines and Starbucks partnership took effect as of June 12, 2024. You no longer earn Delta SkyMiles with each Starbucks purchase. Instead, you’ll earn SkyMiles when you add funds to your Starbucks Rewards account. You’ll get a better value for higher reloads, maxing out at 200 miles for adding $100 to your account.
Bonus Miles
To celebrate the change, Delta SkyMiles is offering 50 bonus miles for adding $25 or more to your Starbucks account. The offer is limited to the first 500,000 members who register and add at least $25. There are a few steps to register:
- Link your Delta Skymiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts at http://deltastarbucks.com/
- Log into your Delta SkyMiles account
- Go to the Promotions tab
- Register for the Starbucks promotion.
To earn the 50 bonus miles. members must enroll by 6/14/24 at 5:00 pm EST and reload by 6/16/24. Reloads completed before registering are not eligible. Members can only earn one bonus per account, regardless of how many reloads. Reloads from Starbucks gift cards and other third-party gift cards are not eligible for miles earning, including bonus miles from this promotion.
Final Thought
Since Delta SkyMiles are only worth a little more than 1 cent each, the net value for each member is less than $1. However, it only takes less than 1 minute to register. I’m going to load my Starbucks account anyway, so might as well take the bonus points.

Not worth my time. Seriously people care about 50 miles?
