Here Are Some Great Offers To Save On Dining At Walt Disney World

by joeheg

Discounts and Disney World are two words that you usually don’t see in the same sentence. That’s why when I saw these offers show up in my American Express account the other day, I was shocked. These restaurants are all located in the Disney Springs area and run the gamut of price ranges and cuisines.

If you have an American Express card, you need to sign in to your account and check for your offers. If you’ve never used AMEX Offers before, what are you waiting for? These deals are a great way to offset the annual fee these cards charge. They aren’t just on AMEX charge cards but also show up on their co-brand cards for Marriott, Hilton and Delta.

A few reminders:

  • Check all of your AMEX cards before enrolling in any offer. Different cards may have different offers for the same place. You only have one shot to enroll any of your cards for a specific offer.
  • If you have an AMEX Gold personal card, check to see if the restaurant offers are available on that card since you’ll be earning 4x Membership Rewards points plus the offer on restaurant purchases.
  • Not all cards will receive an offer. In fact, you may not receive an offer on any of your cards. Thus is the fickle world of AMEX Offers.
  • When traveling, it can pay to check the “Offers Near Me” in the AMEX app since some offers will only show up if you’re in the general area. For instance, I’m receiving many offers for places in Florida. Those will be of no use if you don’t live here. So if you’re out of town, you may get to see some offers for restaurants that are local chains that won’t show up when you’re at home.

Here are the current offers that I found on our accounts. All of these offers were good until October 31, 2019:

Morimoto Asia

Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante

The Edison

Even without eating food, with these prices it wouldn’t be hard for two or more people to drink enough to qualify for the AMEX offer here.

Pizza Ponte

Spend $15 or more, get $5 back

If you’re not familiar with this location, it’s the pizza place located next to Maria and Enzo’s, just before you go over the bridge to the AMC Theater.

If you’re a solo diner, you might think it would be difficult to spend $15 at a pizza place but remember this is Disney. Just get a slice and a beer and you’re set.

Vivoli Il Gelato

Spend $10 or more, get $3 back

This location is right across from The Boathouse restaurant, connected to Wine Bar George. Besides gelato, they served specialties like two scoops of gelato in the middle of a sliced open Italian doughnut.

Final Thoughts

So there are six different places you’re able to save up to 33% on dining at Walt Disney World. Amazing, right? You can also stack this with your Disney Annual Pass discount for lunch at Morimoto Asia and Vivloi Il Gelato.

Even a better deal is that Orlando’s Magical Dining Month is going on until September 30th and Morimoto Asia, Maria & Enzo’s and Enzo’s Hideaway are all participating. This promotion offers a 3-course meal for $35, so if you combine that with the AMEX offer this is a knockout offer.

It’s pretty amazing to see any restaurant on Disney World property offering any type of a discount besides the ones they offer to annual pass holders, DVC members and Tables In Wonderland cardholders. Being able to take advantage of those discounts on top of an AMEX offer makes the prices for eating on Disney property a little more bearable.
