Delta’s schedule leading into summer shows significant changes from May, as it continues to be based on guidelines from the CDC and government regulations, as well as by customer demand. There were many more routes in June 2019 than there are in June 2020. However there are several more routes announced for June than were only a month ago, which is definitely a step in the right direction.
All routes for June 2020 are, as always, subject to change. This includes additions and subtractions on an “as needed” basis.
U.S. DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
Delta continues to provide flights to all of its U.S. hubs and busier markets, but the frequency is significantly reduced. That being said, there are more flights in June than in May, mainly in/out of Atlanta, New York and between hubs.

As we said in April and May, the various changes are, of course, understandable. The CDC’s mandates have to be followed. You can’t have flights to places that aren’t accepting flights (I’m looking at you, Argentina!), and when they do start accepting them, you want to start “low and slow” until you have a better idea of what the market is like at the moment. Flights that were happening last month that aren’t happening this month are a perfect example of using “customer demand” to determine routes. It’s certainly nice to see so many flights that were previously “less than daily” be “daily” now.
If you do happen to fly Delta in June, remember that their boarding process has changed, in order to encourage social distancing.
