Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you’ve had a good week! Here are the travel articles we’ve recently seen that we think you may enjoy.
- Mommy Points wrote about a mom who was forced by airline staff to install a car seat on the plane incorrectly or not be able to fly. What a difficult situation, as we’re repeatedly told to follow all cabin crew directions but what if they’re wrong and risking the health and safety of your child in the process?
- Seth from Wandering Aramean wrote about a recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Sydney and something that happened that is making him not want to stay there again.
- It’s been sixteen years since we’ve driven the road to Hana on Maui but reading this article on Million Mile Secrets brought back so many memories The drive is more about the journey than the destination so take your time if you get to make the trip.
- Andy from Andy’s Travel Blog has retired his old camera and gives us five of his favorite pictures he took with it.
- James from Travel Codex shares a new use for Hilton Honors points. You can use them for concert tickets. 10,000 points can get you a lawn seat for concerts this summer. Anyone suggesting this is a good idea has never sat in a lawn seat for a concert in Florida in the summer. Either you bake to a crisp or sit in a torrential downpour (or sometimes both).
- Miles to Memories tells us about two major Las Vegas hotels are removing parking fees for overnight guests and those who are gambling, shopping or dining. Hopefully other Vegas hotels will follow.
- Sun Country Airlines is a hometown airline based in Minneapolis that’s trying to expand and change into a low cost carrier. That transformation has come with some growing pains. Gary from View From The Wing found this headline about how one of their flights left without anyone’s luggage.
- One Mile at a Time wrote about how the Capital One Venture card is adding a benefit of reimbursing for the TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry application fee once every four years, adding it to the list of recent cards with this benefit like the IHG and United co-branded credit cards.
