Allegiant, easyJet Frontier, Interjet, Ryanair, Sun Country, Swoop, Viva Aerobus, Wizz Air and all the rest of the ultra low cost airlines out there all make their money by charging you for just about everything. In fact, wasn’t Ryanair considering charging to use the lavatory at one point?
Plenty of jokes have been made about low-cost airlines, even by their own employees. But I think this is the best one ever…
Fascinating Aïda is a singing group and satirical cabaret that’s been around for over 35 years. Their origins are in England and as you may know, the U.S. and U.K. sometimes have completely different words for some things (go ahead and click on the link – it’s very funny!), and similar-but-not-exactly-the-same words for others.
WARNING: The video below is an example of the latter. It has words that are decidedly minced oaths (the things you learn when writing a blog – I had never heard of the term either. It means, “a euphemistic expression formed by misspelling, mispronouncing, or replacing a part of a profane, blasphemous, or taboo term to reduce the original term’s objectionable characteristics.” So words and terms like gosh, poop and shut the front door! are all minced oaths. Learn something new every day, huh?), but they may be higher on the vulgarity scale in the U.K. than the U.S. (simply because we don’t use that particular word here very much).

That’s awesome and true! I actually clicked on this because I had a too good to be true fare but it was a scam. Cheapbestfares.com advertised a flight on AA for the same price as the AA website but I used topcashback to book it so a little better deal. Then after getting a confirmation I got a call telling me the price went up. I could pay $25 to book it. I clicked on AA and the fare was the same. I told them I did not agree and they need to honor the fare. They followed up the call with a cancellation notice. I booked it on AA and let them know I would report them. I then got a call back telling me they could “take the loss” on the fare change and book at the old rate. Do NOT USE Cheapbestfares.com.
