When you hear about an airline that’s not flying, it’s usually for normal reasons. They may have declared bankruptcy, like Monarch, Eastern, and Sun Country. Or they might have merged with another airline and the “other” airline’s name was kept, such as the cases of Continental (United) and U.S. Air (American). Or another airline bought them outright, like what happened to TWA and AirTran.
However, there’s one commercial airline out there that was around for THIRTY YEARS and never had a single passenger. Its story is, well, pretty convoluted and more than a little bizarre. And it finally, FINALLY may have seen its end…
Anyway, it appears that Baltia/U.S. Global/whoever they are may FINALLY be gone for good. This is what you get when you click on their website (the URL is posted on their Facebook page, which, BTW, hasn’t been updated since mid-2017 LOL):
So yeah…that’s the airline that hasn’t flown in 30 years of its (sort of) existence. I wonder if anyone has any pools going about which would be operational first….this airline or this airport?
