What It’s Like To Fly First Class On An Emirates A380

Joe and I don’t get to fly international first class very often. In fact, the last time we did it was probably around 2009 or so. So although we (well, Joe) can read all about it, the actual experience is almost as much of a mystery to us as it is to (some? many?) of you. That’s why we can appreciate videos like these.

Anyway, a while back I posted an article entitled, “Attn: Introverts! You Can Now Fly And Never Even See Another Human Being!” It had a rundown of what was on Emirates’ new (at the time) Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A380s (you do know how to spot the differences between Boeings and Airbuses, right?), including ways you could manage to not have to talk with anybody throughout the entire flight. It sounded intriguing but, of course, there’s only so much you can do with pictures and descriptions. Short of getting to go on one yourself, the next best thing would be video.

Well, as it turns out, I came across a post of someone who was upgraded to first class on one of Emirates’ A380s and was kind enough to videotape bits and pieces of it. I wasn’t even looking for the video at the time, but there it was! And here it is…

Sure does look cool! I LOVE the bathroom – look at all that space!

Maybe someday…
