Dennis Rodman is a former professional basketball player, known for his defensive and rebounding abilities. He’s also a former part-time professional wrestler and actor. And…who would’ve to thunk it…he’s also a maskhole.
Rodman, age 60, was flying from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale early last week. He was on JetBlue, reportedly in their Mint section (because really, can you image a 6’8″ guy sitting in coach if he can help it?).
According to Fox Sports, the 5-time NBA champion was continually wearing his face mask below his chin. Flight attendants would tell him to raise it up so he was wearing it properly, as per FAA requirements. Witnesses said he was slow to fix it each time he was asked, and even when he’d eventually comply, he’d lower it to his chain again, not long afterward. This happened 4 times during the course of the flight. Rodman was reported complaining that he “had troubles breathing” when it was on.

Anyway, airlines don’t play around with behavior like this and when the plane landed in Florida, Rodman was reportedly met by deputies from the Broward Co. Sheriff’s Office. He was apparently cooperative and they let him go without a citation.
This isn’t the first time the erstwhile basketball bad boy has had a run-in with the law. In the past, he’s had charges related to incidents with alcohol (DUIs, etc.), sexual assault, domestic violence, and other crimes. And – surprise, surprise- this also isn’t the first time Rodman has flouted COVID restrictions. In September 2020, he was captured on video hugging fans inside a Whole Foods in California, with a mask below his chin.
