I used to be great at packing for a trip. Unless it was a long excursion, I could throw together a bag in less than 30 minutes. My toiletries never left my travel bag and my electronics were always up to date. After staying home for most of a year (besides trips to the beach), I got a little rusty.
Thank goodness I had my trusty travel packing list to remind me about what to bring on vacation. Given, that list has changed a lot over the past two decades and I no longer have to bring my Creative Zen Master MP3 player or my Palm III handheld with me.
However, thanks to our friends at TripIt (which is one of our must-have travel apps) we have a list of new things to bring when we travel.
While many of the tips are TripIt related, like adding all of your reservations to your profile, there are other hints that I added to my checklist.
For instance, I didn’t have to bring my proof of COVID vaccination on my packing list. While I have my vaccine info saved on my phone in CLEAR and photos of my vaccine card available, someplace might prefer seeing the actual card.
In addition, making sure to bring enough face masks for your trip, particularly if you’re flying to your destination, is another thing I needed to add to my packing list.
