Chase offered three months of complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status in July to Sapphire Reserve cardholders. You could register anytime until September 30, 2022. If you stayed for 3 paid nights at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels, your status would extend through February 2024.
Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status provides the following perks:
- 25% bonus points on eligible stays
- 2 PM late check-out (based on availability)
- Enhanced in-room Wi-Fi
- Room upgrades (subject to availability and not including suites)
Chase Sapphire Cardholders can apply for the status upgrade through the Chase website or mobile app when logged into their account.
Honestly, Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite isn’t that special. The AMEX Platinum provides the same status to cardholders for the entire year. Even better, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX provides instant Platinum Elite status to cardholders.
So if you have a Sapphire Reserve and don’t have Marriott Bonvoy status, there are only a few days left to apply for three months of Gold Elite perks. Hey, at least you’ll get free premium Wi-Fi during your Marriott stays.
