We’ve visited the Delta SkyClub at Orlando International Airport multiple times throughout the past two years. We regained access to the club when I upgraded my AMEX Gold Card to a Platinum Card.
As a reminder, American Express Platinum and Delta Reserve cardholders flying on Delta flights can enter SkyClubs for free, but guests (a maximum of two) will cost $50 each.
These rules will change in 2025, with AMEX Platinum members limited to 10 visits and Delta SkyMiles Reserve cardholders capped at 15 visits per year. The full SkyClub entrance rules can be found here.
The MCO Delta SkyClub is located in the atrium of Airside 4, gates 70-99, next to Starbucks. This hub is where all Delta flights and Delta partners LATAM, Virgin Atlantic and WestJet are located.
The entrance still has that 80s vibe. The lounge is up one level, which you can access via the elevator or stairs. I used the stairs and was immediately met by a Delta agent. She asked for my boarding pass, and I showed my phone. She scanned the code and welcomed me to the club, providing information about my departing flight and how to log into the Wi-Fi.
I can confirm you do not have to show your AMEX Platinum card to the agent if you’ve added the card to your Delta profile. However, I’d suggest bringing your AMEX Platinum card with you, just in case.
The club has been refreshed in the last several years. The design is still the same, but the beige and brown paint was replaced with a blue/white color scheme. At 8 AM on a Friday, plenty of seats were available, most of which had power and USB charging ports. There were a few longer tables that were more conducive to working.
The Orlando SkyClub has plenty of natural light from the windows along one side of the lounge. When I arrived, most of the seats in this area were already taken. Besides the usual club seating, there’s an eating area with tables and high tops around the room.
As for the food, the breakfast offerings included a cheese omelet, chicken sausage and rosemary potatoes. There was also oatmeal with toppings and a selection of bread, bagels, and English muffins. Along the other wall were several wrapped fresh fruit items. For drinks, they had coffee, tea and juice. In addition, the bar was open if you wanted a soft drink or maybe something a little stronger before your flight.
This is the spread I’ve seen on every visit over the past two years. We typically visit in the mornings, so I’m not sure what the lunch/dinner offerings are.
To compare, I’d rate the SkyClub food better than what we’ve had at The Club MCO. The SkyClub offers a superior experience compared to other clubs in the airport, not just in terms of food. It’s a spacious room with various seating options, and if given the choice between both locations, I would opt for the SkyClub, even if only for the better-quality coffee. But I’m not sure if it’s worth an additional $50 for a guest to access the SkyClub at Orlando Airport.
Final Thoughts
I’m glad we have access to the Delta SkyClub at Orlando Airport. It’s nice that the club no longer looks like you’re walking into the Golden Girls’ home. [Note from Sharon: That made me laugh. Although the color scheme is better, it still looks very 80s, IMHO.] The fresh coat of paint and new furniture were both long overdue.
This isn’t a club that I’ll get to the airport early to visit, but as long as I have the AMEX Platinum card, I’ll pop in here instead of at the Priority Pass club across the hall. Time will tell if I still feel that way in 2025, when I only have a number of SkyClub visits with my Platinum Card.

I consistently find that this lounge has one of the friendliest staffs in the system. Unfortunately I end up here late afternoons when a lot of contract airlines are using for their J class passengers making it ridiculously crowded.
This club is ok. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either. Food is fine. Wish MCO had a Centurion but MCO is not a hub so it’s appropriate.
