I know that everyone who reads this is a law-abiding citizen who always does the right thing and follows rules as they’re intended, and not how they can sometimes be interpreted to work to your advantage. None of you have ever said your 12-year-old was 11, so you wouldn’t have to pay for a third person in the room, or tried to impress someone at the front desk of a hotel so you could get a little something extra.
I’ve got news for you – the people at the front desks of hotels have seen it all, and heard it all, and, for the most part, they know when you’re lying.
Usually a hotel guest’s attempt at whatever shenanigans is just fodder at the proverbial water cooler. But Jake Ryan, a front desk clerk at a Holiday Inn, turns them into TikTok videos.
Don’t worry…the guests are never shown or heard on camera. But in some of the videos, you can see…
When he Googles “rude” guests to see if they’re as impressive as they say they are:
@thinkjakeryan Foe said he owned part of arbys 👿 … like ??? So ???? #fyp
(BTW, maybe I’m stereotyping. But if they really had 3 businesses, 4 private jets and have a school named after them, would they really be staying at a Holiday Inn?)
Or his response when a guest who has snuck their dogs into the hotel sees that they got charged a pet fee, after all:
@thinkjakeryan 3 pits ???????????? Bfffr fyp
Or what a guest did when they tried to get their free breakfast…after Jake confirmed with them that free breakfast wasn’t included:
@thinkjakeryan Mam i – #fyp
Or…the ultimate threat? When a guest says they’re going to go to a “better” hotel:
@thinkjakeryan
The guest who asks if you can knock off the incidentals:
@thinkjakeryan Why would i do that 😭 #fyp
When a guest blames him for their plans being ruined because he doesn’t see their reservation:
@thinkjakeryan
(And you know this one happens) When a wife finally catches the woman her husband’s been bringing to the hotel:
@thinkjakeryan Get her ! 🤣🕺🏿 #fyp
You can see more of his video on his TikTok. Heads up that some of the videos may be NSFW due to adult language.
