Bilt Rewards is back with another Rent Day promotion, and for March 2025, they’re offering an enticing bonus for transferring points to Hilton Honors. Blue members (the base level) will receive a 150% bonus, while Silver and above will get a 200% bonus, earning 3 Hilton Honors points for every 1 Bilt point transferred. But is this actually a good deal? Let’s break it down.
What is the Value of Hilton Honors Points?
Hilton Honors points have a well-documented reputation for being worth less than points from programs like Hyatt. Typically, Hilton points are valued at around 0.5 cents per point (CPP), though values can fluctuate based on redemption choices.
For example, we received a value of 0.55 cents per Hilton Honors point for our stay at The Draper in New York, not considering the hotel is massively overpriced.

Researching another stay, the hotel charges 60,000 points per night for a 2-night stay, but the cash price for the two nights varies from $261 to $313. This is a difference between getting 0.43 or 0.53 CPP.
If you are a Silver or above Bilt member, with a 200% bonus, 1 Bilt point would become 3 Hilton points, translating to roughly 1.5 CPP in value. That’s higher than the 1.25 CPP you’d get using Bilt points for travel bookings through the Bilt Travel portal, but not necessarily better than some of Bilt’s other transfer partners. Blue members would get 2.5 Hilton points per Bilt point, or 1.25 CPP, a break even with the portal.
While Hilton’s award pricing is dynamic and can vary wildly, there are some solid redemption opportunities, especially at high-end properties like the Waldorf Astoria Maldives or Conrad Bora Bora. However, availability for standard awards at these locations is hard to find. Hilton charges steep rates for premium awards, making it crucial to compare the cost in points versus cash before using points for a stay.
Comparing the Value of Other Bilt Redemption Options
Before you transfer Bilt points to Hilton, it’s worth considering how Bilt’s other transfer partners stack up:
- Hyatt (1:1 transfer ratio) – One of the most valuable Bilt transfer partners, as Hyatt points tend to be worth 1.7-2.0 CPP on average. However, you can get better value, like when we booked the Grand Hyatt Kauai for 3 nights, getting a value of almost 4 CPP.

- Aeroplan (1:1 transfer ratio) – Aeroplan miles can be incredibly valuable, especially for premium cabin redemptions on airlines like Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Air Canada. Aeroplan also allows stopovers on award tickets for an additional 5,000 points.
- Alaska Mileage Plan (1:1 transfer ratio) – Alaska miles are valuable for premium cabin awards on Oneworld partners, including Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific. It’s not uncommon to get 2-3 CPP in value from Alaska miles.
- Bilt Travel Portal (1.25 CPP value) – If you want flexibility, Bilt allows you to redeem points at a fixed rate of 1.25 CPP toward flights, hotels, and rental cars. This is a solid option if you’re looking for simple, no-hassle redemptions.
Final Thoughts: Should You Transfer to Hilton?
If you’re flush with Bilt points and target a specific Hilton redemption where you can get at least 0.5 CPP in value, this promotion might be worth considering. However, if you regularly use Bilt’s higher-value transfer partners like Hyatt, Aeroplan, or Alaska, you might find better redemptions elsewhere. The 150-200% bonus makes Hilton a more appealing option than usual, but it’s still not the best way to maximize your Bilt points unless you have a specific Hilton redemption in mind.
