There’s nothing quite like live theater and if you’re going to see live theater in the U.S., Broadway is “the” place to go.
Unfortunately, ticket prices for Broadway shows have been going higher and higher. There are a few ways to get tickets cheaper (we go over them in this post and this one, too), but there’s also this way, which is only available for a short time…
January 21 through February 10 is NYC BROADWAY WEEK and to celebrate, 24 of some of the most popular Broadway shows are offering 2-for-1 tickets!
If you order tickets to see a show during NYC Broadway Week, you have a choice of buying the tickets they offer as a 2-for-1, or you can get upgraded seats for an extra $20 per ticket (heads up that upgraded seats usually have a higher starting price than regular seats). Just start at NYC’s Broadway Week’s website and use the codes BWAYWK for 2-for-1 tickets or BWAYUP for the upgraded ones.
Terms and blackout periods apply but vary per show – check the website for details regarding the show(s) you’re interested in seeing.
There’s a two-ticket minimum per purchase. Rather than one free ticket for every full-price ticket, all tickets will be issued at 50% off their original price (plus applicable taxes and fees….which, unfortunately, are still pretty high. Would be nice if THOSE were 50% off too, huh?). Your shopping cart will show the exact number of tickets you will receive.
Tickets are limited and not all shows are available (i.e. Hamilton is not listed and Dear Evan Hansen sold out quick. No surprise on either front). But if you’re interested in seeing other Broadway shows for half off, it’s a really good, albeit limited time opportunity. Just go to NYC Broadway Week’s website to get started.
