One Last Chance! $6 Flights To Hawaii, Sponsored By Arby’s

by SharonKurheg

Arby’s (“America’s Roast Beef. Yes, Sir!” Anyone? Anyone?) Restaurants offered this absolutely CRAZY sale on flights to Hawaii this past Friday, for just $6 apiece. And they’re doing it again today. Here are the details, as well as a few important details:

Why they’re doing it:

It’s a promotion for their using King’s Hawaiian Rolls on some of their sandwiches. And the sandwiches are going to cost $6. SO…$6 trips to Hawaii. Someone in their promotions department is a smart cookie ;-).

Important things to keep in mind:

The length of the trip

The entire trip is only going to be 24 hours, and that includes fly time. You (just you. It’s a solo trip) get flown to Hawaii, sit on a beach for 6 hours, eat Arby’s sandwiches and get flown home. It’s not horrible but it’s certainly not a typical Hawaiian vacation. I’m not even sure if it’s worth the jet lag (or if you’d even HAVE any jet lag if you get home 24 hours after you left).

Arby

“Arby’s $6 Hawaiian Getaway flies you to Honolulu to see the sights—all three Arby’s King’s Hawaiian sandwiches. No volcanoes. No pineapple farms. Just you, sweet buns, tender meats, and a Hawaiian paradise to eat them in.”

How many $6 trips they’re selling

They sold 5 of these trips on Friday and they’re going to sell 5 more today. I went to Arby’s flight sale web page at 12:02pm on Friday and, not at all surprisingly, they were already sold out. I read of one person who made it onto the “wait list” but frankly, I doubt he’ll be contacted. Here’s what they said on their April 10th Twitter:

Here’s the fine print:

I clicked at 12:00:00, maybe 75 milliseconds after and got to the order page but the send button on the order form would not light up. I think I was too late.

I made it on the waitlist..but haven’t heard anything & I doubt I will. If I knew the promo code right when I clicked on it, then I probably would have got one.
