Today’s offer for U.S. Travel Association’s Daily Getaways promotion is one we’ve taken advantage of for the past several years. While it’s a little more expensive this year, it’s still a huge saving over the regular price.
Today’s Offers
Here are the offers that will go on sale today on the Daily Getaways website at 1PM ET:
Let’s examine each of these offers:
Any SeaWorld of Busch Gardens single day pass for $55
(1403 available, max purchase of 6)
If you want to buy a single day pass for Sea World or Busch Gardens, the price you’ll pay depends on which park you want to visit.
Here are the prices for the different parks when you buy a ticket online at least three days in advance:
- SeaWorld Orlando – $84.99
- Busch Gardens Tampa – $84.99
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg – $74.99
- SeaWorld San Diego – $71.99 (currently on special for weekday visits for $60.99)
- SeaWorld San Antonio – $37.50 – Currently on special until May 19, 2019
If you’re planning on visiting any of these parks, besides SeaWorld San Antonio, a single day pass for $55 is a great deal. We are planning on picking up a pair of these passes to check out SeaWorld Orlando over Christmastime. We think their decorations are the prettiest around and O Wondrous Night is by far the best theme park Christmas show in town, full of puppets, animals and some of the most talented vocalists in Orlando.
Florida 2-Park Ticket for $75
(550 available, max purchase of 6)
With this ticket, you can visit any two of the Florida theme parks:
- SeaWorld Orlando
- Aquatica Orlando
- Busch Gardens Tampa
- Adventure Island Tampa
Both visits must be within 14 days of each other.
A similar ticket is available online, which requires a 3-day advance purchase, for $104.99. Using my corporate discount from Tickets At Work, the same ticket costs $93.99.
We like Aquatica and visit every once in a while, but when we’d want to visit SeaWorld and Aquatica just don’t line up. Going to a water park in December is for tourists, not locals. 😉
Discovery Cove Dolphin Swim Package for $195
(225 Available, max purchase of 6)
Discovery Cove is SeaWorld Orlando’s exclusive experience that lets you get up close to the aquatic animals for a day. Going there is a whole day immersive experience. Here’s how they describe it:
Discovery Cove is more than a one-day getaway. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim with dolphins, snorkel with tropical fish, swim alongside graceful rays and hand-feed exotic birds. One reservation offers an all-inclusive day of exploration that will let you connect with ocean life in ways you never believed possible.
Each Discovery Cove All-Inclusive Dolphin Swim Package includes:
- A reserved 30-minute dolphin interaction
- Freshly prepared breakfast and lunch
- Unlimited food and beverages
- Swim gear and snorkel provided
- Towels, sunscreen, and complimentary lockers
- Shower amenities
- Free parking at Discovery Cove
- 14-day ticket to SeaWorld® and Aquatica® Orlando
The dolphin swim package at Discovery Cove starts at $199 but for most days in the Spring, Summer and Fall the admission price ranges from $250 up to $360. The Daily Getaways also provides 14 days of admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica, while the packages online only provide a 7-day pass. Packages are valid for visitation now through 12/31/19. Based on availability. Not valid on previously booked reservations or in combination with other offers. (Blackout dates apply: July 1 through July 31, 2019)
Final Thoughts
If you were planning to visit SeaWorld, Busch Gardens or Discovery Cove, the Daily Getaways deals can save you a decent amount on the admission price. Which tickets you decide to get will depend on if you’re going to be visiting Florida or not and if you want a single day, two parks or Discovery Cove admission ticket.
