Happy Wednesday to all of our travel friends, both near and far! Here are some articles we’ve read from other bloggers (and other sources) that we think you may like, as well, so we’re passing them along.
- November 12th has come and gone. Know what that means? Disney+ is finally here!!!! While we got in on the D23 three-year discounted subscription, we’ve managed to stay away from the TV (but I’m going to watch The Mandalorian as soon as I’m done with this post). If you weren’t able to get in on any of the pre-launch offers, Miles to Memories lists the ways you can still get discounts. If you’re still looking for a subscription, Ratuken is offering deals for new subscriptions and if you aren’t already a member, here is our referral link.
- Rene’s Points wrote an article showing you what works for your American Express airline credits and what doesn’t. The need for an article like this proves that I’ve said about not treating American Express airline credits like they were cash.
- International travel comes with its difficulties, not the least is dealing with different languages. We’ve noted that using the Google Translate app can make things easier when traveling but Running With Miles shows how one of its features has improved by leaps and bounds.
- While those Facebook ads for a free Disney Cruise may be a hoax, we do enjoy going on a cruise. Miles for Family writes about their decision-making process on whether to go on a 3-night or a 7-night cruise. FYI, for us, a four-night cruise is the sweet spot when cruising the Caribbean.
- Ben from One Mile at a Time recently went on the Brightline train from Miami to West Palm Beach. We took the same train and had a similar opinion on the ride. We really hope they complete the Virgin Trains USA line from Orlando to Miami.
- Frequent Miler wrote an interesting article about how American Express’ recent account shutdowns were only the beginning of an AI-driven progression of their Rewards Abuse Team (RAT) program. We’ve taken it slow and steady with AMEX since I’ve been a cardholder since 92 and Sharon since 99 and I’d hate to see a few new applications ruin that relationship.
- Traveling For Miles wrote an interesting article about how they are booking flights to avoid American Airlines and that should be worrying to the airline. While one person does not make a trend, we’ve also avoided American for similar reasons and booked flights on Frontier instead, because it’s more reliable.

We have plenty more just like it and would love if you decided to hang around and clicked the button on the top (if you’re on your computer) or the bottom (if you’re on your phone/tablet) of this page to follow our blog and get emailed notifications of when we post (it’s usually about 3 or 4 times a day). Or maybe you’d like to join our Facebook group, where we talk and ask questions about travel (including Disney parks), creative ways to earn frequent flyer miles and hotel points, how to save money on or for your trips, get access to travel articles you may not see otherwise, etc. Whether you’ve read our posts before or this is the first time you’re stopping by, we’re really glad you’re here and hope you come back to visit again!
