The cruise industry is a very mixed bag right now. There are some cruise ships that are still trying to get their crew home. Others are all ready to start sailing ASAP.
Here’s the updated list of when each cruise ship will begin sailing again, and, as available, canceled cruises:
Note: Each cruise line has its own term and conditions when it comes to refunds, credits, etc. Check with your cruise line or travel agent for details, as needed.
AmaWaterways
AmaWaterways’ 2020 sailing season had been pushed back until June 30, 2020. It’s now on pause until July 31, 2020.
Avalon Waterways
Avalon Waterways has now suspended operations through June 30.
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line has extended its suspension of operations, with sailings resuming onboard Grand Celebration on June 13 and on Grand Classica on July 10.
Carnival
Carnival plans to begin sailing in North America on August 1, with 8 cruise ships sailing out of Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston. However other sailings have been canceled:
- All San Francisco sailings through 2020
- All Carnival Sunrise sailings through and including October 19, 2020
- All Carnival Legend sailings through and including October 30, 2020
- All Carnival Radiance sailings through and including November 1, 2020
- All Carnival Spirit Alaska, Hawaii, & Trans-Pacific sailings through and including October 6, 2020
- Carnival Breeze, Carnival Dream, Carnival Elation, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic, Carnival Sensation, & Carnival Vista sailings through and including July 31, 2020
- All other ships sailings through and including August 31, 2020
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity had suspended all global sailings through May 11. That’s now been extended to June 11. Their June 16 Canada/New England sailing and suspending Alaska sailings are now suspended until July 1.
Celestyal Cruises
They have extended the suspension of their cruises through June 29.
CMV
Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has extended the suspension of all their worldwide cruises from May 25 to June 30, 2020.
Costa Cruises
Costa Cruises has extended the suspension of its cruises through June 20, 2020.
Crystal Cruises
Crystal Cruises are canceled throughout June 2020.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line is suspending all new departures through June 18, 2020, Disney Magic Sailings through July 2, 2020 and Vancouver Sailings until the end of June.
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines had been on pause through May 23, 2020. They’re now on hold indefinitely.
Holland America Line
Holland America Line has cancelled all Alaska, Europe and Canada/New England cruises for 2020. Along with that, its Amsterdam cruise ship will not operate the 79-day Grand Africa Voyage from Boston, Massachusetts, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that was scheduled to depart on Oct. 3, 2020.
MSC
MSC Cruises has suspended its operations through to July 10, 2020.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Inc.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Inc. has extended its suspension of global sailings for its three cruise brands, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, until June 30, 2020.
Oceania Cruises
On April 24th, Oceania Cruises extended their suspension of voyages to include all voyages through June 30, 2020.
P&O Cruises and Cunard
P&O Cruises and Cunard are both extending their pause in operations up to and including July 31, 2020
Princess
Princess Cruises has canceled all of its remaining summer sailings. These include:
- All remaining Alaska cruises on Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess
- All remaining Europe and Transatlantic cruises on Enchanted Princess, Regal Princess, Sky Princess, Crown Princess and Island Princess
- Summer Caribbean cruises and all Canada & New England cruises on Caribbean Princess and Sky Princess
- Summer to autumn cruises departing from Japan on Diamond Princess
- Australia-based cruises on Sapphire Princess and Sea Princess through August
- July cruises sailing from Taiwan on Majestic Princess
- Autumn cruises sailing to Hawaii and French Polynesia on Pacific Princess through November
Regent Seven Seas
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has suspended voyages until June 30.
Royal Caribbean
Their global suspension was extended to all sailings departing on and before June 11th, 2020. They also have to cancel both their Vision of the Seas’ June 13th, 2020 and Anthem of the Seas’ June 20th, 2020 sailings – both of these ships have been assisting with the repatriation of their crew.
Seabourne
Seabourne had previously paused its operations from March 14th to June 30th. They’ve now paused them into the fall.
- Seabourn Odyssey: paused through the Europe season, with its operations pause effective through November 20.
- Seabourn Sojourn: paused through Alaska/British Columbia season, with its operations pause effective through October 13.
- Seabourn Quest: paused through the Canada/New England season, with its operations pause effective through November 6.
- Seabourn Encore: paused through the Europe season, with its operations pause effective through October 19.
- Seabourn Ovation: paused through Europe season, with its operations pause effective through November 6.
Silversea
Silversea currently plans to begin sailings again, of Silver Wind and Silver Galapagos, on June 13, 2020.
Victory Cruise Line
Victory Cruise Lines is extending its temporary suspension of all operations onboard the Victory 1 through June 30, 2020 and cancelling all planned itineraries for the Victory II for the remainder of the 2020 season.
Virgin Voyages
Virgin’s inaugural sailing was supposed to be in April. That got pushed back to (and is still on the books as) the sold-out Richard Branson Birthday Bash (which Joe and I were supposed to be on) on July 15. The maiden voyage is now listed as August 7, 2020.
