It’s been a big week for hotel openings, with Hilton announcing the opening of a new hotel, Hilton announcing the opening of 4 new properties, and several MGM hotels re-opening in Las Vegas.
Hilton
- A Hampton Inn & Suites has opened in Keller, Texas.
The hotel features 110 rooms with 3 meeting rooms and a swimming pool. It has signature brand amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center and a fitness center. Each guestroom includes high-definition TV, free in-room movie channels and a coffee maker.
Marriott
- A SpringHill Suites Spokane Airport has opened 6 minutes from the Spokane International Airport in Washington, and another SpringHill Suites has also opened in Tuckahoe, New York.
Both properties offer all-suite rooms, along with amenities such as free Wi-fi, free hot breakfast, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a business center and more. - A Residence Inn by Marriott has opened in Midlothian, Virginia
This pet-friendly hotel offers grocery delivery service, complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour onsite food-and-beverage market, dry-cleaning services and an onsite guest laundry room. The hotel provides guests with business services, a meeting room, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a Sport Court. - The first Aloft hotel in St. Louis recently opened.
The hotel offers 129 rooms with two meeting rooms and amenities that include an on-site fitness center, a heated indoor pool and the W XYZ bar with outdoor seating.
MGM Properties in Las Vegas
Meanwhile, after several hotels opened on the Strip opened on June 4, some stayed shuttered for a while longer. Bellagio, New York-New York, and MGM Grand greeted guests on opening day, but it’s now time for, if you will, a second wave.
- Excalibur will reopen (or has reopened, depending on when you read this) June 11
- Luxor will open again on June 25
- Aria and Mandalay Bay will both re-open on July 1
Although the Park MGM’s website allows you to make reservations from July 1 onward, no announcement of the same has formally been made. Also, no word yet if the Park MGM’s casino will be smoke-free, as has been rumored, when the resort reopens.
