Chase Adds Limited Time Extras To Freedom Cards For February

by joeheg

The Chase Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex are no-annual-fee personal cards that earn cashback for purchases. The Freedom Unlimited earns 1.5% back for all purchases and 3% for restaurant and drugstore purchases. The Freedom Flex only earns 1% for purchases and offers 5% back for purchases in specific categories that change every 3 months.

The cards are even more valuable if you have a premium Ultimate Rewards card from Chase because then you’re able to transfer points between accounts and eventually to one of Chase’s travel partners.

Chase is giving Freedom cardholders a little bonus in February with the “Freedom Month of More.”

There are three things Chase is giving to Freedom cardholders for February.

5% Back At Gas Stations

Get 5% total cash back on up to $150 in combined purchases made with your Chase Freedom card at gas stations from 2/1/21 to 2/28/21. Hurry, you must activate this limited-time offer by Feb. 28, 2021.

You can activate this offer by using this link to Chase’s website.

Earn Bonus Cash Back When Shopping Online

Chase has its own shopping portal where you can earn points for online merchants. In fact, Chase often provides Freedom cardholders a better return than those with one of the Sapphire cards.

You can see the bonus offers when logging into the Chase portal.

Save 10% On Select Gift Cards

Cashing out points for gift cards is rarely a good deal. However, if you don’t have a premium Chase card and can only redeem points for cash back, Chase is offering redemptions for select gift cards at 10% off the standard rate.

Final Thoughts

I just received the email from Chase about this offer yesterday and we’re already a week into February (which is the shortest month of the year anyway.) There are only 18 days left in the month and I just filled up the car with gas.

It’s still a good thing whenever a bank gives you something for nothing and hopefully, some of you will be able to take full advantage of these offers for Freedom cardholders.
