During 2020, the things we needed to bring on trips changed. No need to remember to bring my passport or airplane tickets. I updated my packing list to include snacks for the car and printed directions on how to get to our location.
Before last year, we didn’t really think about what we would do when in our room, even less about what’s available to watch on the TV. After staying in a few Airbnb cabins and scrolling through whatever satellite channels were available, we decided it would be a good idea to invest in this inexpensive item that would make our nights holed up in our room more enjoyable.
That item is an Amazon Fire Stick.
The retail price for this item is $29.99 but for Prime Day, Amazon is selling it for $17.99.
If you’re going to bring your Fire Stick with you when traveling, I also suggest getting this little gadget. It powers the stick from the TV’s own USB outlet instead of having to find a nearby outlet, which can be difficult if you’re in a hotel room where all the wiring is behind a cabinet.
