Many airlines fly from the northeastern US to Europe. It’s a quick hop across the Atlantic Ocean but caters to a client base that’s willing to pay for a premium experience on a less than preferable overnight flight.
Sharon and I have decided that it’s not worth it for us to pay for a business class seat for these flights. We’d rather pay for an extra night at a hotel, be able to check in when arrive, and sleep for a few hours.
But that’s if we have to pay for business class either with miles or by paying more for our seats. How’d we feel if we could get a business class seat for little more than we’d pay for economy class?
La Compagnie is the little TATL airline that could. No one thought they would last when the airline launched as a business-class-only carrier from Newark to Paris. How much of a market was there for people willing to pay for a business class flight with a limited schedule? Apparently, many more than people expected because the airline, through a bit of fit and starts, has expanded to offer connecting flights to Nice and Milan from Paris.
If you’re already able to pay for a business class ticket, La Compagnie is appealing as a business class only airline flying all lie-flat seats on new A321neo aircraft with free Wi-Fi across the ocean.
To sweeten the deal for couples wanting to visit Europe for Valentine’s Day, the airline is offering BOGO R/T tickets starting at $2,800 per couple. Honestly, that’s not a bad price for two tickets to Europe in a lie-flat seat.
The offer is valid for flights booked from Feb 1st to 14th 2022, subject to availability.
This offer is better for those in the NY area because anyone else would need to book a positioning flight to Newark. Still, if you were looking at paying for a flight to Paris, Milan or Nice in business class on another carrier, it might pay to give La Compagnie a look if their flights meet your needs.
