WOW! TSA PreCheck Adds 8 New Airlines, Drops 1

by SharonKurheg

As exciting as it is when the TSA adds new airlines to its list of participants in TSA PreCheck, it’s equally as frustrating when an airline you plan to use is not a participant. We even contacted several popular airlines to ask why they don’t participate (here’s what they said – and there’s some good news coming down the pike!).

But today is an exciting day because the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced the expansion of its TSA PreCheck program, with the addition of EIGHT(!!!) more airlines that will participate in its expedited screening program. On top of that news, one airline that were previously on TSA PreCheck’s list of participating airlines is no longer participating in the program, and one other airline in the program has had a name change.

Here’s the lowdown on all of them:

New Additions

  • Air Premia
  • Air Tahiti Nui
  • Air Transat
  • Bahamasair
  • BermudAir
  • Iberia
  • La Compagnie
  • New Pacific Airlines

Removed from list

Lynx Air

Name change

Swift Air

Swift Air technically wasn’t removed from the list as much as it had a name change. It’s now known as iAero Airways. Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, it operates charter flights for nationally known fractional aircraft operators, financial institutions, construction and transportation as well as many collegiate athletic departments, professional sports organizations, and major tour operators.

With these 8 additions, plus 1 removal and 1 name change, TSA PreCheck is currently offered in 2 countries (the U.S. and one international location) by 99 airlines.
