Through the years, many places – and I mean MANY places – have taken to charging for parking. Here’s why. And there’s probably no place more indicative of that than Las Vegas.
Funny thing is, just a couple of years ago, that wasn’t the case. In fact, as recently as 2023, free self-parking was relatively plentiful. But those good old days are long over.
In July 2023, we let y’all know about two resorts on the Las Vegas Strip that had decided to eliminate free parking. Two months later, we reported about three more hotels on the strip that had done away with free parking.
We kind of moved on after that and didn’t pay much attention to the shrinkage of free parking in Vegas. We should have, though, because over the past 2 years, it seems that more and more places have said, “Heck yeah, we’re gonna charge you to park! That’s more money for us!”
With that in mind, here are a bunch of places that still offer free self-parking:
If You’re a Member of Their Loyalty Program
It’s not a 100% guarantee anymore – some members of Vegas hotel & casino loyalty programs have to pay to park nowadays – but you MIGHT get free parking. Or a discount. So it’s worth a shot to look. Here are the free perks you can get just for signing up for their loyalty programs.
On the Strip
- Best Western Plus Casino Royale–Center Strip
- Circus Circus Las Vegas
- Encore Las Vegas (first three hours of self-parking free)
- Fashion Show Mall (free self-parking during mall hours; paid parking during the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Nov. 20–22, 2025)
- Fontainebleau Las Vegas (first hour of self-parking free for all guests; validated valet available “for any guest dining at the resort’s restaurants and bars, spending within retail spaces, or enjoying a treatment at Lapis Spa & Wellness”).
- Sahara Las Vegas
- The Shops at Crystals
- The Shoppes at Mandalay Place
- Treasure Island
- Wynn Las Vegas (first three hours of self-parking free)
Off the Strip
- Boyd Gaming
- Aliante
- Cannery
- Gold Coast
- Sam’s Town
- Suncoast
- The Orleans
- Fremont Hotel & Casino (usually free; may charge during special events)
- The California Hotel & Casino (first 30 minutes free)
- Main Street Station (first 30 minutes free)
- Palms Casino Resort and Palms Place
- South Point Hotel Casino & Spa
- Rio Hotel & Casino
- Silverton Casino Lodge
- Station Casinos
- Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
Note: Besides the above locations that offer free parking to any visitor, there are some places that offer free parking for Las Vegas residents, Nevada residents and/or guests of the hotel.
