New Spending Offers For Chase Credit Cards

by joeheg

Chase has consistently added spending offers to its credit card portfolio every quarter. These offers used to be occasional, but a new one appears as soon as the previous offer ends. I think that’s a good thing. However, the value of the offers and which cards get them are seemingly random (although I guess there’s a reasoning behind it).

This quarter I received offers on three of my Chase co-brand cards.

Unfortunately, nothing was offered for my Hyatt, Southwest or Disney cards.

The first offer was for our IHG Rewards Premier card.

We can earn 7X IHG One Rewards points at gas stations and restaurants and 5X points at grocery stores on the first $1,500 in combined purchases across all categories.

We also received a spending offer for our legacy IHG Rewards Select card.

This less attractive offer is for 5X IHG One Rewards points at gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants on the first $1,500 in combined purchases across all categories.

Sharon received an offer on her newly upgraded Ritz Carlton Card.

The offer from Marriott matched the IHG one with 5X Marriott Bonvoy points at gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants on the first $1,500 in combined purchases across all categories.

These offers are not appealing since I value IHG and Marriott points at around 1/2 cent each.

However, I was reminded of an ongoing offer on my Chase Ink Preferred card.

Earn an extra 5,000 bonus points for every $5,000 you spend — up to 15,000 bonus points — on all business purchases made with your Chase Ink card between May 1, 2023 and July 31, 2023

I have less than a month to take advantage of this one but I’ll keep it in mind if we have any large expenses before then.

Chase usually sends out emails to notify cardholders of these offers.

If you’d rather not wait, you can check your cards by going to https://www.chase.com/mybonus and entering your last name, the last 4 digits of your account, and your zip code.

While I found these offers a bit of a letdown, I’ve seen some better ones posted online. It only takes a minute to check your accounts.
