The luxury hotel segment in Orlando’s Walt Disney World area is set for a major expansion. The Four Seasons and Waldorf Astoria were the only two hotels in the region, until recently. However, new developments such as Nobu and Fairmont resorts, both slated to open in 2025, and the Conrad, scheduled to open in early 2024 at the sprawling 1,100-acre Evermore Orlando Resort, are set to transform the hospitality landscape in the area.
The Waldorf Astoria Orlando, which opened back in 2009, has been left behind in the race of luxury hotels. Customers nowadays expect the latest amenities when paying top dollar for a room, and 14 years is a long time in this market. To keep up with the competition, the hotel has undergone a multi-month renovation, including upgrades to the lobby, meeting spaces, guest rooms, and even the golf course.
Dubbed “The Waldorf Astoria Orlando… Reimagined” the hotel has proudly announced the completion of the renovation project, just before the nearby Conrad is set to open.

Explore our property-wide reimagination that includes a floor-to-ceiling transformation inclusive of all guestrooms and suites, the lobby arrival experience, new design and culinary innovations at the award-winning restaurants Bull & Bear and Peacock Alley, enhancements to The Waldorf Astoria Spa and a complete restoration of the esteemed 18-hole Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. These renovations complete the property-wide renewal, which began last year with the comprehensive enhancement of the hotel’s meeting and event spaces.
For those who love Disney, the Waldorf Astoria is an excellent option to visit by using Hilton Honors points or redeeming a free night certificate from Hilton co-brand credit cards. Although not a Disney Resort, guests still receive early park entry and complimentary transportation to the Disney theme parks.
