Why I’m Dissapointed With This Round Of Chase Targeted Offers

by joeheg

I received my first email of 2024 from Chase with a spending offer for Q1. Obviously, that meant it was time to check which offers were available on all of our Chase cards. While websites like Frequent Miler provide links to possible offers for every Chase card, you can find the generic link at https://www.chase.com/mybonus.

While I received a few spending offers on my IHG and Ritz Carlton Card, almost every other one of my cards received the same offer for spend with the Max streaming service.

We already pay for a monthly subscription to MAX, so it makes sense to move that payment to a card where I’ll get $35 or $25 back after spending $99.

Only the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card and J.P. Morgan Reserve Card are eligible for a $35 credit. All other Chase credit cards, except for the ones eligible for the $35 offer and these cards are eligible for a $25 credit.

  • Amazon Prime
  • Amazon Business Rewards Visa Card
  • Amazon Business Rewards Visa Signature Card
  • Disney® Premier Visa® Card
  • Disney® Visa® Card
  • Ink Capital Business Credit Card
  • Chase Slate Card

While I’m not sure about the reasons for the last two cards on the list, I can almost guarantee that the Amazon and Disney co-brand cards are not offering a credit for the MAX streaming service because it’s a competitor to their respective Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ services.

Here’s just a little insight into how the co-brand credit card business works. And that’s not to mention that I have multiple cards all offering a discount on the MAX service, and I’ll only be able to take advantage of a few of those credits before September because I’m paying $18.02 a month.
