They Did It Again: Virgin Just Dropped Another Wild Cruise Pass

by SharonKurheg

Virgin Voyages has never been shy about shaking up the cruise industry. They were the first to roll out an annual pass that let you sail with them for a full year (and by the second year, they even tossed in a 1-week stay at Richard Branson’s Necker Island). Then came their monthly subscription model — a casual $10k per couple.

It’s unclear whether the line plans to continue the annual pass (priced at $120k for 2025 and an eye-watering $199k for 2026), but they’ve now unveiled another monthly option for summer 2026 — this time centered around their brand-new Alaska itineraries.

Brilliant Lady, Virgin’s newest ship, entered service this past autumn, and next summer she’s off for a full season of Alaska sailings. So why not package the entire summer into a slow-travel, back-to-back itinerary?

Virgin Voyages’ Alaska Summer Season Pass

With the new 2026 Alaska Summer Season Pass, luxury travelers can spend 30 days exploring Alaska aboard Brilliant Lady — a grown-ups-only ship just like her sister ships, Scarlet Lady, Resilient Lady, and Valiant Lady.

They announced the concept on Travel Tuesday.

“Alaska is one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth,” said Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu. “Experiencing it aboard Brilliant Lady means you get the adventure without sacrificing comfort, style or that Virgin sense of discovery — and without a single child on board. This is what vacation is supposed to feel like.”

This month-long experience mixes Virgin’s adults-only vibe with glacier viewing, wildlife spotting, rugged landscapes, and unhurried time in some of Alaska’s most iconic destinations. Sailings include stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, and Icy Point Strait, plus scenic cruising through the Inside Passage, Hubbard Glacier, and Tracy Arm Fjord.

The pass is meant for travelers who want both quiet luxury and real adventure — minus the little ones.

“People want vacations that actually restore them,” said Virgin Voyages Vice President of Growth Stephen Hopkins. “A month in Alaska aboard Brilliant Lady is exactly that — adventure, beauty and adult-only exploration in one of the most spectacular places on the planet.”

What’s included with the Alaska Summer Season Pass

The 2026 pass comes with a long list of perks:

  • Central Sea Terrace cabin for two Sailors
  • Daily drink credits
  • Complimentary Shore Things (VV-speak for “excursions”) (up to $250 per Sailor)
  • Dedicated Glacier Discovery Excursion
  • Upgraded Work From Sea Wi-Fi
  • Laundry service throughout the voyage
  • Thermal spa passes
  • Priority boarding and special welcome receptions

Season Pass travelers also get an exclusive gear kit tailored for a month in Alaska: a Canon G7X camera, binoculars, power bank, reusable water bottle, backpack, limited-edition jacket, and a collectible wristband.

2026 Alaska Season Pass Dates & Pricing

Travelers can pick from four month-long options:

  • May 28 – June 23: $26,000
  • June 23 – July 23: $38,000
  • July 30 – August 27: $35,000
  • August 27 – September 26: $36,000

Yep — more than 2.5 times the cost of the 2025 pass. But with prices climbing everywhere, that’s not very shocking.
