It makes sense that as more locations reopen to tourism, more flights to those locations become available. Case in point, Hawaiian Airlines reports that it will be bringing back all of its pre-COVID U.S. mainland gates in December. That will include the United States’ longest domestic flight, which runs between Hawaii and Massachusetts.
On December 18th, Hawaiian will operate two weekly flights from Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport to Boston’s Logan International Airport on Mondays and Fridays.
From Boston to Honolulu, the return flights will happen on Sundays and Wednesdays, starting on December 20th.
The non-stop flights are 5,095 miles long. The Boston-bound flights last 9 hours, 30 minutes, and the ones going to Honolulu take up to 11 hours, 35 minutes.
According to their press release, Hawaiian Airlines will also be bringing back non-stops flights between Hawaii and 12 other U.S. mainland cities including NYC (via JFK), Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Oakland and Long Beach.
