The Best Airline, Cruise & Travel April Fool’s Jokes for 2023

by SharonKurheg

Yesterday was April Fool’s Day. Some years we’ve posted April Fool’s jokes here at YMMV, some not. These come to mind:

2019: New business: Mouse Sherpas to hold your stuff while walking around the parks
2021: Selfie shoes

A lot of places stopped doing April Fool’s jokes during the pandemic. But since covid has waned, bunches of places are back at it. Here are the travel-related ones we found that we thought were the best this year:

Skiplagged says it will be offering Bad Seatmate Insurance.

Emirates said they were introducing a cruise ship.

Amtrak was going to start offering a Loud Car

The National Park Service said the cherry tree cut down by George Washington has regenerated.

KLM was introducing a Recline Alert System

The Eiffel Tower has installed the world’s tallest slide

Air North, Yukon’s airline, has a new way to tow its Boeing 737s.

The Paris Air Show was going to include the USS Enterprise this summer.

Zion National Park had an outbreak of giant squirrels.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport was going to replace its statue of John Lennon.

FlightRadar24 was going to add a new feature to their apps.

Virgin Australia introduced dry cleaning on its flights
