JetBlue Offers Free Peacock Streaming for TrueBlue Members

by joeheg

Airlines occasionally offer special deals to passengers onboard their planes, such as extra miles for signing up for their co-branded credit card. For example, you used to be able to earn extra JetBlue miles for Amazon.com purchases if you made your purchase while on the plane (well,if you could get the Wi-Fi to connect).

However, JetBlue is now offering a bonus for Peacock, the streaming service from NBCUniversal that they partner with for streaming content onboard their flights.

I wasn’t expecting to see this offer when I logged into JetBlue’s FlyFi service on our recent flight.

The offer depended on your level of membership in the JetBlue TrueBlue program.

  • Mosaic members get 12 months of Peacock at no cost (a $59.95 value)
  • TrueBlue members get 1,000 points and 2 months of free membership (currently $5.99/month)
  • Non-members get 2 months of free membership, even if they choose not to become TrueBlue members.

Everyone can sign up at https://www.peacocktv.com/jetblue before 12/31/23. Once your free membership is complete, you’ll pay $5.99 per month or the current price each month until you cancel.

Even current Peacock members can sign in to redeem their free months depending on their JetBlue status.

Current Peacock subscriber. Offer didn’t work for me. “You’re already subscribed to Peacock. This offer is for new customers only, but you can still watch 80,000+ hours of hit movies, shows, live sports, and more.”

The redeem button has this text “Already have a Peacock account? Sign In to Redeem” yet in the FAQ, the say you need to cancel your subscription.
“If you’re a qualified TrueBlue member with Mosaic status and already have an active paid subscription to Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus, you’ll need to cancel your existing Peacock subscription first and then, after the billing date has passed, come back here to claim an offer. (Please note: No refunds or credits will be issued for any prior payments made in connection with an existing subscription.)
