Going through the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) checkpoints in the U.S., especially if you don’t have Pre-Check or Global Entry (and really, if you live in the U.S. and don’t have it yet, YOU SHOULD! Here’s why), can be a royal pain. That’s especially true if you don’t fly very often and don’t feel quite sure about what you can and cannot bring as carry on. We’ve already written posts about how to bring medication with you when flying, but there are a whole lot of other things that people wonder if they can bring on a plane with them. Frequently Asked Questions
The TSA has a FAQ that covers things from Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones to body piercings to CPAP machines to what happens if you leave your ID at the checkpoint to a whole lot more.

They also have a list of All Items, which is everything from the above lists, combined.
AskTSA on Twitter (and questionably on Facebook)
For any items not listed in the above categories, you can snap a picture or send a question to AskTSA on Twitter – they WILL respond! They’re apparently available on that Facebook link as well, but to be honest, I’ve read of people who’ve written to them there and didn’t get an answer, so proceed there at your own risk. Anyway, they’re available to answer your question (at least on Twitter, for sure) from 9am to 7pm ET on weekdays and weekends/holidays.
