Central Florida’s First Inflatable Water Park Is Now Open! (And It’s NOT What We Expected)

by SharonKurheg

We were so excited to announce the opening of Central Florida’s very first inflatable water park, and even more excited that it wasn’t the one we were expecting!

We had written back in December 2017 that Nona Adventure Park was going to open sometime in 2018. So when we heard a new water park had opened in Central Florida, we thought that was it. But surprise, surprise….NOPE! 🙂

THIS Aquapark is a brand new part of Aktion Parks’ Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC). Aktion Parks (not to be confused with Action Park, the legendary dangerous water park that operated in Vernon, NJ from 1978 to 1996) is an already-established boat and cable park operation that you can see from the eastbound 528 (a.k.a. The Beachline – although if you’re old school like I am, it will forever be the Beeline LOLOL!), just before the Orange Avenue exit. It’s actually one of the largest cable wakeboard parks in the U.S.

This newly-opened section of the park is a colorful, state-of-the-art inflatable waterpark experience, inspired by LEGO blocks, that features a modular series of interlocking climbing obstacles, pathways and slides, allowing for endless fun for all ages and skill levels. With multiple challenges like the XXL climbing tower, balance beam, monkey bars, rodeo slide and much more, the OWC Aquapark, “will provide hours of fun on the water for the entire family. The Aquapark is also great for anyone looking for a unique event for corporate and private parties, especially birthday parties”

By the way, I noticed that the Nona Adventure Park has written on their website that their, “…gigantic open-water inflatable aqua park [that] will be the first of its kind in Orlando” is now not scheduled to open until February 2019. Oh well…
