Wow! JetBlue’s A321neo Is Amazing!

It’s been almost two years since we’ve flown on JetBlue. Back then we still had the OG A320 on the MCO-JFK route. While those planes only have a 5.6-inch screen and limited live TV options, I wrote at the time how the more comfortable seats made up for the poor IFE options.

On our most recent trip to New York, we flew on a new A321neo from MCO-JFK and back. The first thing we couldn’t miss was the blue mood lighting in the cabin.

Every seat has a USB charging port and there are two 110v plugs in each row.

The 10.1-inch touchscreen has 100+ channels of DirecTV and on-demand movies.

And while we all love a touchscreen instead of having to fiddle with a remote, there is the problem of poking on the seatback of the person in front of you the whole flight.

JetBlue offers something I haven’t seen on any other airline. The ability to pair your phone to your IFE system and use it as the remote.

Besides offering all of these options from the IFE, JetBlue still offers free Wi-Fi, which was how I was able to know about our diverted flight before almost anyone else onboard.

I’ll admit that the seats weren’t as comfortable as the recliners they had on the old A320. However, when JetBlue tries, they’re able to hit the sweet spot of IFE more than any other airline.

JetBlue had been falling in our ranking of US airlines over the last several years but flying their newest aircraft might have reversed that trend.

I recently flew JetBlue and while IFE was nice, I don’t think it’s Amazing enough to compensate for the seat. I had the extra legroom seats and so space was fine but still feel the seat pan was as comfortable and so after 2.7 hours I was happy to get off.
