The Worst Hotels In The World, According To TripAdvisor Reviews

by SharonKurheg

Finding a bad hotel review isn’t difficult. Finding a hotel with thousands of bad reviews, spanning years, from travelers who seem genuinely horrified by what they found? That’s a different story. These three properties have earned reputations that go far beyond the occasional unhappy guest, with complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and overall conditions appearing again and again over the years.

TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site and millions of people rely on it as a resource for reviews on travel destinations, hotels, restaurants, etc. Of course, you sometimes have to take the reviews people have written with a grain of salt. But when thousands of people say a place is horrible, you can’t help but wonder if they’re onto something. These may be the worst of the worst, complete with photos and reviews that never get better, even after YEARS…

So now you know where  to stay…;-)

Of course, every hotel will have a few unhappy guests, and online reviews should always be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism. But when the same complaints keep appearing year after year—and when the photos posted by travelers look like they belong in a different century altogether—it becomes much harder to dismiss them as isolated incidents. If nothing else, these properties serve as a reminder that sometimes the cheapest room really does come with a price. And perhaps more importantly, always read the reviews before you click “Book.”
