Last Chance To Win A Trip To See A Broadway Show From JetBlue

by joeheg

I’m not a big follower of sweepstakes that require you to use a credit card to get an entry. Frankly, It’s not worth giving up earning the most amount of miles and points for me to get a minuscule chance to win a contest. However, I’ll enter one that only takes a few clicks online, ’cause really, what do I have to lose? It turns out that I was racking up a number of entries into this contest and didn’t even know it.

JetBlue and Mastercard have been running a promotion since the beginning of the year where every eligible use of a JetBlue Mastercard gets you an entry to win a trip to New York. It turns out you don’t even have to have a credit card to enter, as long as you’re willing to mail in a 3×5 piece of paper in a #10 envelope (My mother was a contest entering junkie so she would exactly what that means, but to me it’s all static).

Here’s the ways to enter from the contest website:

To enter, use your JetBlue Mastercard on eligible purchases between 1/1/18 and 3/31/18.
You will automatically receive an entry each time you use a JetBlue Mastercard consumer or small business card to make a purchase.

To enter the sweepstakes without making a purchase, print your name, complete mailing address, telephone number, date of birth, and the words “Mastercard and JetBlue Sweepstakes” on a plain 3” x 5” piece of paper and mail in a sealed, stamped and hand printed #10 envelope to: Mastercard and JetBlue Sweepstakes, 211 Greenwood Ave. 2-2, Promo 503, Bethel, CT 06801.

The prizes in this contest are pretty good but if you win the grand prize you have to be available to travel on the dates they offer, sometime in August 2018.

One (1) Grand Prize: A four (4) day/three (3) night trip for Grand Prize winner and one (1) guest to New York, NY on Sponsor-selected dates in August 2018 (“Trip”). Trip includes JetBlue round-trip coach air transportation from the major airport nearest winner’s residence, one (1) standard double-occupancy hotel accommodation, ground transportation to/from airport and hotel and select activities, select onsite activities, including, but not limited to, a tour of New York City and two (2) tickets to a broadway show, a $1,000 Mastercard Prepaid® card, and $6,000 awarded in the form of a check to the Grand Prize winner that may be used by Grand Prize winner to help offset taxes (Approximate Retail Value “ARV” = $19,000).

Five (5) First Prizes: One (1) $100 Mastercard Prepaid Card (ARV = $100).
Ten (10) Second Prizes: One (1) $50 Mastercard Prepaid Card (ARV = $50).
Twenty (20) Third Prizes: One (1) $25 Mastercard Prepaid Card (ARV = $25).

With $1,000 in spending cash, you could almost afford the price for two tickets to see Hamilton.

The details of this contest had slipped past me but our friend Darlene K. forwarded a link to me about it. As it turned out, I just signed up for the JetBlue Mastercard at the end of 2017 when it was offering a 60,000 mile bonus. The current bonus is 40,000 and that’s not bad but it might make sense to wait to see if they raise the offer again.

So it turns out I racked up a great deal of entries to this contest without even knowing about it. I’m still nice enough to let you in on it too so you can still use your JetBlue credit card for entries (if you wanted to) or send in some of those pieces of paper inside envelopes (whatever those are).

Hey, maybe you’ll get a $25 Mastercard gift card. That’s still better than a kick in the head.
