Status Match Struggle: Trying to Match My Wyndham & Caesars Rewards Accounts

by joeheg

Over a year ago, we signed up for the Wyndham Earner Business card. While we didn’t get to use the points earned from the bonus last year, we have several trips planned where those points will eventually come in handy.

The automatic Wyndham Rewards Diamond status is an extra perk of the Wyndham Earner Business card. With that status, you can match to Caesars Rewards Diamond.

While applying for a status match between the two programs should be straightforward, that’s not been our experience. In fact, it’s been a struggle.

Wyndham Rewards has a link to a website where you can match but this is only to match your Caesars status to Wyndham.

It takes a few readings to see that you don’t need to link your Wyndham account to upgrade your Caesars status here.

To do that, there’s a website dedicated to matching your Wyndham status to Caesars.

However, I’m still not clear if this is the website to match Caesars to Wyndham or Wyndham to Caesars. It also doesn’t make me feel any better that Caesars says that Wyndham is experiencing technical issues that may delay the status match and to contact them if it’s longer than 3 weeks.

I don’t remember having this many issues linking accounts last year. I’ll see what happens and if I have to email Wyndham to match our status with Caesars.
